ABOUT TWP

Our mission: is to connect, celebrate, educate and foster relationships in the LGBTQIA community while promoting equality, unity, and love in The Woodlands and beyond.

Since its inception in April 2018, The Woodlands Pride (TWP) has transformed its annual Pride Festival into one of Texas’s premier free Pride events. Our 6th Annual Pride Festival in October 2024 attracted over 9,000 attendees, 125 exhibitors, and nearly 20 sponsors.

TWP is dedicated to making a meaningful impact year-round, investing in both local initiatives and the broader LGBTQ+ community across the state. Notable recent projects include the launch of the TWP Community Library, the establishment of a TWP Endowment with Out for Education, and the integration of  There's Room at Our Table (TROT) into our organization. These new initiatives are designed to strengthen our community and enhance our organization’s mission. Additionally, we have supported the launch of additional suburban and rural Pride Festivals through strategic sponsorships and partnerships.

Our commitment to fostering relationships with local leaders and businesses is exemplified by our active membership in the Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber, the Greater Houston LGBT Chamber and The Woodlands Area Chamber. TheWoodlands Pride is unyieldingly dedicated to advocacy, as demonstrated by our role as the lead plaintiff in the successful challenge against Senate Bill 12 in 2023.

None of these achievements would be possible without the generous support of our donors. As a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we rely on community contributions to fuel our mission. We eagerly anticipate collaborating with you in 2025 and beyond!
